The dependent’s Umzima account will be linked to the authorized representative’s account until either: (i) the minor dependent turns 18, or (ii) Umzima is notified by the dependent’s authorized representative or an authoritative court or agency that the dependent has been emancipated or acquired legal custody of their own health information, or a different authorized representative has been appointed. Each authorized representative will possess equal access and communication rights through the dependent’s Umzima account. Every authorized representative agrees to inform Umzima if their relationship with the dependent changes, potentially affecting their status as an authorized representative.
